  • Manage & oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications & QMS requirements.
  • Advancing quality achievement & performance improvement throughout the organization
  • Managing the development & implementation of the QMS for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation & operations activities including
  • Planning duties within the QA/QC staff & related work schedules
  • Establishing service standards for end users (i.e., internal department or external customer)
  • Identifying & developing QA/QC personnel certification requirements & continuing education/training needs
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel.
  • Taking full responsibility for hold-point releases once all QMS functions have been completed & the equipment is ready to go into the next work stage.
  • Developing and implementing risk-based inspection (RBI) activities and processes
  • Managing plant integrity through a failure analysis reporting system & following up on recommendations.
  • Oversee supervision of all visual inspections & NDE, including 3rd party subcontractors.
  • Managing inspection, NDE & testing plans for new construction, repair work & alterations
  • Identify & develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies.
  • Manage construction processes, plant equipment, inspection & NDE personnel certification & QMS internal audits.
  • Management of all welding procedures and qualifications and testing including.
  • Analyse welding requirements for specific projects ensuring the any already approved in house procedures are acceptable & generate new procedures specific to project requirements & needs.
  • Responsibility for the coordination of multiple projects & managing external test laboratories & Classification societies & Notified bodies with regard to welding procedures their approvals & testing
  • Provide technical support with industry standards & specifications such as ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, AWS, BS EN, plus any other relevant standards which may be required.
  • Management & control of all materials & consumables for welder testing and procedures.
  • Coordinate failure analyses & root cause analysis on welding related issues if required.
  • Set up & control and maintenance of a welder data base.

Required Profile :

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally & in writing through memos & engineering reports
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • English mandatory
